JAKARTA (TheInsiderstories) - President Joko Widodo will in the next hour or so deliver a speech at the plenary meeting of People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), People’s Representative Council (DPR) and Regional Representative Council (DPD). The meeting opened at 09.00 a.m, attended by all members of the MPR, DPR, DPD, former president Megawati Soekarno Putri, former VP Sutrisno and Budiono.
There are three main agendas of the plenary meeting today. First, Annual Meeting of MPR where President Joko Widodo will deliver State Speech to report the performance of state institutions. Second, President delivers a speech to commemorate Indonesia’s 71st independence day anniversary at DPD and DPR plenary meeting.
The third agenda is plenary session to kick start DPR’s meeting period for 2016-2017. The President will deliver introductory speech for draft 2017 State Budget. (*)
