JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Indonesia’ Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) dismissed the former Secretary of the Muhammad Said Didu, as the commissioner of coal miner PT Bukit Asam Tbk (IDX: PTBA). He served as commissioner of PTBA since 2015.

“The reason for the dismissal was because I was not in line with the shareholders (the government),” Didu wrote on his twitter account after the shareholders meeting last week.

Recently, he has criticized many ministry policies for several SOEs. As an example, he criticized the government by penning 100 tweets about government ownership of PT Freeport Indonesia by state-owned miner PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium.

The contents of one of Didu’s tweets was about establishing a road map to take over the management of Freeport that had been carried out during the administration of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Currently, Didu joined with economic team of presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto for 2019 election. He began his carreer in 1988, working at Technology Assessment and Application Agency.

Didu also served as a member of the People’s Consultative Assembly from 1998 to 1999. Then, in 2005 he became Secretary of the SOEs ministry.

He also held the position of Independent Commissioner of PT Perkebunan Nasional IV from Sept. 11, 2006 until Sept. 2008. Didu was also become a Special Staff of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources in the Sudirman Said era.

Aside from dismissing Didu, the shareholders meeting of PTBA also appointed Soenggoel Pardamean Sitorus as Independent Commissioner to replace Johan O Silalahi and appointed Taufik Madjid as Commissioner to replace Purnomo Sinar Hadi.
