JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - Indonesia recorded trade surplus of US$293.6 million in August driven by higher exports. In the month, exports reached US$12.63 billion, while imports totaled US$12.34 billion.
Exports in August increased by 32.54 percent from July and down slightly by 0.74 percent from the same month last year of $12.73 billion. Imports in August increased 36.84 percent from July and 0.49 percent lower than August 2015.
Year to date exports totaled US$91.73 billion while imports amounted to US$87.35 billion.
