JAKARTA - Indonesian government proposes relaxation of export restrictions on raw mining materials through the revised plan No.4/2009 on coal and metal mines. A total of six mineral, which is planned to be relaxed is steel, tin, manganese, charcoal (lead), zinc, and zirconium. Nickel and bauxite are not included in the plan so there is no impact to PT Aneka Tambang Tbk and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk.
On Wednesday, Aneka Tambang announced that the company welcome the government’s plan to relax export restrictions on mining mineral exports. On the corporate side, we assess the relaxation of export it will provide a stream of cash flows for some companies that tight cash position, which can be used to finance construction of the smelter.
