Mutiara Bank was previously known as Bank Century prior to the 2008 takeover by the Deposit Insurance Corporation during the global financial crisis. The bank has since been restructured and rebranded from 2009 under fresh leadership and with the new vision of being the leading bank in Indonesia with emphasis on the retail segment. Existing strengths in areas such as home owner loans, corporate finance and consumer credit also continue to be built upon.
