Zebra Nusantara Tbk
PT. Zebra Nusantara Tbk is established on January 8, 1987 under the name of PT. Zebra Taxi. The corporation has been rapidly developed since then, so that as from the middle of 1990, it becomes the taxi company with the largest fleet of cars in Surabaya.
In January 1989, the Corporation has been the first taxi company that offers its stock at the Parallel Market and has successfully improved its status from Parallel Market to Jakarta Stock Market and Surabaya Stock Market since July 25, 1991 under the stock code: “ZBRA”
In order to develop the taxi business, the Corporation has successfully taken over PT. Surabaya Artautama Bersama which also delivers taxi service exactly on August 19, 2003 by buying as many as 200 sheets of stock in the said company totally amounted to Rp.4, 500,000,000 (four billon and five hundred million rupiahs).
Along with its development, in the Extraordinary Shareholders General Meeting dated June 30, 2004, the Corporation has successfully increased its authorized capital to be Rp.300, 000,000,000 (three hundred billion rupiahs) divided into 655, 656,702 shares those consist of:
40, 082,498 stocks of serial A @Rp.500 per stock, and
615, 574,204 stocks of serial B @Rp.100 per stock.
Due to taxi operational issue, the Corporation has already used BBG (Gas Fuel) since 1997 as the alternative of premium. Therefore, in order to improve and develop its business, on August 5, 2005, the Corporation has established a subsidiary company in the field of gas supply business named PT. Zebra Energi.
In order to improve system standardization and management quality, PT. Zebra Nusantara Tbk has already achieved ISO 9001: 2000 Certification from SGS on June 14, 2005.
Furthermore, the Corporation has also expanded its business to other sectors those are still related to transportation business activity by having cooperation with PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) to perform the construction of dry port in JABABEKA area which transportation will be facilitated by train.
In order to develop the said business, the Corporation establishes PT. Zebra International Dry Port on September 12, 2008. Business development as aforementioned is certainly realized by the role of shareholders who provide maximal mental support.
