PT. Roda Vivatex Tbk (Publicly-listed company) is one of the largest textile manufacturing companies that produces polyester filament woven fabric. The company was established in 1980 and began its commercial production in 1983. During its initial establishment period, polyester fabric was still dominated commercial production in 1983. In view of such condition, Mr.Sutiadi Widjaja with his 12-year-experience in textile chemical trade had the reason to set up a textile manufacturing company specially engaged in the production of polyester fabric.
The company developed fast as this kind of fabric was liked by the communities in various countries. The government rendered it s supports through the deregulation of to encourage its non oil and gas export. The textile manufacturing industry has managed to penetrate the international market and even become one of the primary non oil and gas exported goods. The company represents one of main companies exporting polyester fabric. The types of textile using polyester filament are Georgette, Satin, and Palace.
In line with its growth, the company is highly concerned with is product quality development as this represents the demand to penetrate the markets in different countries. The development of textile manufacturing technology is carried out periodically and utilizes modern machinery from Japan.
