Pelayaran Tempuran Mas Tbk
Established in Jakarta on September 17th, 1987 by two founders, the late Mr. Koentojo and Mr. Harto Khusumo, PT Pelayaran Tempuran Emas Tbk. as known is a container shipping company serving the domestic market.
The name Tempuran Emas, caries a unique meaning. The company is formed and shared by compilation of hard working, diligent and multi cultural background of employees as a team to achieve a shared common goal.
As one of the cargo shipping sector pioneers in Indonesia, TEMAS Line began its operation by utilizing rented ships. From this humble beginning, the Company continuously improved its competency, enlarged its fleet and expanded its scope of services. As the result, TEMAS Line already cemented its position at the forefront of Indonesian shipping industry with its cutting edge fleet and exclusive terminal facilities.
One of the most important milestones of TEMAS Line occurred on June 25th, 2003 when the Company went public through the listing of its 451.000.000 shares at the Jakarta Stock Exchange. And on July 9th, 2003, TEMAS Line effectively became the first public company within the container shipping sector.
To further adapt with the dynamic of the business it involves in and to provide a more integrated shipping service, TEMAS Line is now supported by three following subsidiaries:
1. PT Pelayaran Tirtamas Express, based in Jakarta, engaged in shipping services.
2. PT Perusahaan Bongkar Muat Olah Jasa Trisari Andal, based in Jakarta, engaged in stevedoring activities.
3. Anemi Maritime Co. Ltd. based in Malta, engaged in lease of containers.
The Company’s business network is also being expanded, with branch offices and agents, each in Ambon, Banjarmasin, Belawan, Bitung, Jayapura, Makassar, Pekanbaru, Pontianak, Surabaya, Sorong, Batam, Biak, Palembang, and Manokwari.
TEMAS Line commitment is to ensure efficiency and timely delivery was ultimately supported by various stevedoring facilities, such as Harbour Mobile Crane (HMC), reach stackers, empty container handler and container forklift.
