Founded in April 1980 by the Charoen Pokphand Group, CP Prima has over 30 years of operating experience and is a global pioneer in large-scale vertically-integrated aqua cultural farming and practices. The Company generated net sales of Rp 8.17 trillion for fiscal year 2008, and we believe there is tremendous growth potential in the near-term future, driven by international growth in shrimp consumption as well as the strong local demand for upstream products.
In 2007, CP Prima consolidated further its position as the vertically integrated aquaculture company. We reaffirmed our singular business vision with a transformative acquisition of Dipasena, which increased our capacity by almost threefold, and divested non-aquaculture assets in an effort to complete our restructuring and to become a pure player aquaculture company.
With the acquisition of Dipasena, and the complete phase-out of our poultry businesses, CP Prima has secured its goal of being a truly focused global leader in the aquaculture sector, with a fully integrated business model coupled with an experienced management team – reaffirming our value proposition as a clear investment vehicle for investors to participated in the tremendous growth potential associated with the global aquaculture industry.
