Tycoon Hary Tanoesoedibjo plans to raise IDR7 trillion
(Insider Stories) – Three companies owned by Indonesia tycoon Hary Tanoesoedibjo plan to raise funds from rights issue programs totaling up to 7 trillion rupiah this year.
PT Global Mediacom (IDX:BMTR) director Oerianto Guyandi told The Insider Stories that the company will release up to 9.1% of their enlarged capital and expect to grab IDR2.97 T. The company said in a statement that the shares will be sold at IDR2,360 each.
He said the funds will be used to increase the company’s ownership in pay television network PT MNC Sky Vision (IDX:MSKY). “We intend to buyback MSKY’s shares from the market. In our view, with its strong performance, it’s better to us to increase our ownership in MSKY,” Guyandi said.
Global Mediacom’s subscription-based services, content and advertising-based media business segments provide free-to-air television to radio broadcasting, magazines, newspaper and mobile content.
Other companies with plans to raise capital are financial services firm PT MNC Kapital Indonesia (IDX:BCAP) and property developer PT MNC Land (IDX:KPIG).
According to MNC Kapital Indonesia chief executive Darma Putra the company plans to release up to 10% of shares and aim to raise IDR1 trillion to IDR2 trillion.
MNC Land aims to raise up to IDR1.95 trillion from its share sale. The property unit of PT Bhakti Investama (IDX:BHIT) intends to sell 1.28 billion new shares, 26.6% of the company’s enlarged capital.
MNC Land has set its rights issue price at IDR1,520 a share. Proceeds from the rights issue will be used to help finance development of an integrated tourism park, the Lido Lakes Resort and Conference hotel and Mandalika Resort.
