Bank Mandiri signs joint cooperation with Kookmin Bank | Company data 

(The Insider Stories) — State-owned PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) has signed an agreement on banking services with South Korea’s KB Kookmin Bank to boost business transactions between the two countries.

The agreement covers structured finance and syndicated loan businesses, treasury, cash management, trade finance, and remittances.

Total exports to South Korea were around US$15.04 billion last year and imports were $11.97 billion, according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).

Bank Mandiri VP Riswinandi expects the cooperation to increase Bank Mandiri’s market share. Export transactions to South Korea done through Bank Mandiri were $283.41 million last year and import transactions were $142.97 million.
