Waskita Karya expects IDR3.3 tln construction projects by end-March -Report

(Insider Stories) - State construction company PT Waskita Karya Tbk expects to secure deals for six new construction projects worth Rp 3.34 trillion, Investor Daily reported Thursday (03/08).

Desi Arriyani, a director at Waskita Karya, was quoted as saying the company expects to secure the projects — which include construction of airport facilities, a toll road, a bridge, a railway and irrigation networks — by the end of March.

Two of the projects are worth trillions of rupiah on their own — a IDR1.7 trillion expansion of Terminal 3 at Jakarta’s Soekarno Hatta international airport and a IDR1.2 trillion toll road extension between Cikampek and Paliman in West Java.

“The deal for construction of terminal 3 at Soekarno Hatta airport was signed not long ago,” Arriyani said, as quoted by the newspaper.

Waskita is also eyeing an IDR80 billion deal to strengthen part of the Jatigede dam in Bandung, an IDR100 billion railway construction in South Sumatra, an IDR200 billion deal to build the Kapuk Naga bridge in North Jakarta, and IDR60 billion of irrigation network construction, it said. (Anwar)
