Indonesia’s Telkom acquires 42,000 Timor Leste subscribers in 2 months Kompas

March 18 (The Insider Stories) — In two months since it began offering cellular services in Timor Leste, Telekomunikasi Indonesia has recorded 42,000 cellular subscribers, Kompas newsportal reported Sunday.

The Indonesian state enterprise has constructed 63 base transceiver station in 6 districts in the world’s youngest country, and plans to add another 52 BTS in coming months, Ambar Kuspardianto, the chief operations of Telkom’s Timor Leste unit, was quoted as saying.
