JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - Indonesian shares are expected to to be mixed today, as market players may be cautious to make aggressive moves ahead of the weekend as well as concerned over US rate hike.
On Thursday, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed up 0.84% at 5,408.25 points (+0.40% mtd; +2.11% ytd). The market rise was in line with the gains in major global and regional markets. As many as 180 stocks increased, 139 declined, 86 were unchanged and 171 stocks were untraded.
“On Friday, JCI is projected to weaken, hovering within range of 5,387-5,435 points,” said Bahana Sekuritas. Stocks to watch, according to Bahana, are including JPFA, MEDC, MPPA, PTPP, dan SSIA
In forex market, the rupiah was trading at Rp13,357 to the USD at the market close, up 6 points or up 0.04%. (*)
