TELKOM and KEIN create mobile apps Logistic Tani for local farmer

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - National Industrial Economic Committee (KEIN) worked with the state-owned company PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (IDX: TLKM) to create a mobile application called Logistik Tani for local farmer. This application is to overcome the fuzziness of data food commodities in Indonesia.

Chairman of the Working Group for Food to KEIN, Benny Pasaribu said, this application will be run by Telkom itself as the operator, while its use will be conducted by the Central Statistics Agency. He hoped that the data chaotic food commodities can be reduced with the application system and the integration of food logistics made by Telkom.

Meanwhile, Indra Utoyo, Director of Digital and Strategic Portfolio Telkom, said that through the System Food Sovereignty across other higher institutions will be able to access the application.

“The benefit is continuous improvement, then all data will be more accurate, and other advantages of this application is to mengoneksikan ecosystem, controlling, and automatically improvement, so do not rely on BPS data,” he said.

Indra added that by this program will be helped by CPM applications are created in the form of software that can be downloaded and accessed through the gadget and can be accessed by everyone either stakeholders or farmers.

“Data single farmer, of each gadget scattered, aggregate the data will be created,” said Indra.
