(Insider Stories) - Indonesia Mobile-phone distributor PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia (TELE.JK)  is set to acquiring two local Samsung distributors in deals estimated to be worth IDR430 billion.

The acquisitions are expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year.

The acqusition comes as an addition to a string of purchases to boost Tiphone’s presence in the Indonesian phone retail market.

Tiphone had secured the acquisition financing from PT DBS Bank Indonesia and Standard Chartered Bank. Tiphone completed a deal to purchase control of Mitra Telekomunikasi Selular, an iPhone importer, for Rp 1.5 billion in June. In 2013, the company has targeted total sales of IDR12 trillion.

It recorded Rp 4 trillion in sales for the first half of this year, but sales are set to accelerate as it will become the main iPhone distributor for mobile phone operator PT Telkomunikasi Selular.

Tiphone has more than 146 outlets and 175,000 active re-sellers. It provides vouchers and prepaid cards, mobile phones, smartphones, after-sales services and mobile phone content available for download.
