Indonesia will receive round 23.1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine produced by AstraZeneca starting first quarter of 2021 as part of the COVAX Facility scheme, co-led by GAVI, CEPI, and the World Health Organization. The AstraZeneca vaccine can be administered to people aged 60 years and above.

Yesterday, the country received raw ingredients to produce 11 million doses of the inactivated virus vaccine from Chinese drug-maker Sinovac, bringing the total doses shipped in ready-for-use form to 3 million and bulk form to 26 million in four shipments.
