Malaysia Airasia swings to loss in Q3 hit by Indonesia business, forex loss

Malaysian flight carrier AirAsia Bhd swings to loss hit by loss making Indonesian associate and foreign exchange (forex) losses over high debt and dues owed by its affiliated in third-quarter of 2015. The group booked losses of RM469 million ($111 million) in third quarter (Q3) only for its Indonesian associate, while the company’s foreign exchange losses soared to 436 million from 153 million a year ago. In Q3, AirAsia reported a net loss of RM406 million ringgit versus a net profit of RM5.4 million a year ago.
