JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Minister State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Rini Soemarno on Friday (22/12) installed Faik Fahmi as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Indonesian airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), replacing Danang Baskoro who passed away in November.

Fahmi previously served as CEO at PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, the country’s foremost provider of roll-on/roll-off ferry transport services. He was also a Director of Commercial & Business Development at PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) until Sept. 19, 2016.

In period of 2012-2014, he served as Executive Vice President of Services at PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, the operator of the country’s flag carrier.

The SOE Minister also appointed Devy Suradji as Director for Marketing and Service of Angkasa Pura I.

Angkasa Pura I provides airport management services in Indonesia. It operates in the fields of landing, placing, and aircraft hangar; servicing airplane passengers; and flight services.

AP I is currently building several international airports, including airports in Kulonprogo, in Jogyakarta, which is scheduled to commence operation in early 2019. The Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang, Central Java, is also slated to begin operations next year. (*)
