India’s Tata Power unit completed the sale of Sorak Merapi’s shares

Singapore’s Tata Power International Pte. Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of India’s Tata Power has now completed the sale of 50 percent stake in OTP Geothermal Pte. Ltd., Singapore (OTP) to KS Orka Renewables Pte. Ltd. Both of the companies has signed the conditional sales and purchase agreement in April 2016. OTP joint with Origin Energy Limited, holds a 95 percent interest in Indonesia’s PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power (SMGP). The consortium is currently pursuing development of 240 MW Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power Project in North Sumatra. The Company’s other investments in Indonesia include investments in PT Kaltim Prima Coal, PT Arutmin Indonesia and PT Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk (IDX: BSSR).
