The Insider Stories Morning Notes - JCI expected to be mixed on lackluster global markets

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - Indonesian shares are expected to be mixed on lackluster performance of global markets as well as geopolitical concerns.

On Tuesday, the Jakarta Composite Index closed down 16 points or 0.29 percent at 5,627 points after trading within range of 5,621-5,658 points. As many as 157 stocks rose, 173 declined and 109 stocks were untraded.

Mandiri Sekuritas projected the JCI to be under selling pressure today, with the JCI likely to be trading in a range of 5,600 support level and 5,667 resistance level. In Asia, most markets ended lower.

The total transaction reached Rp7.43 trillion, with foreign investors were recorded as net sell worth Rp31 billion. Four of sectoral indices rose, while six indices declined.

Nikkei225 fell 0.27 percent, Kospi lost 0.44 percent and Hang Seng fell 0.72 percent. (*)
