Telkom to pay dividend of Rp94.63 a share on May 26

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - State own telecommunication operator PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (IDX: TLKM), also known Telkom, will pay final dividend of Rp78.86 and special dividend of Rp15.77 a share. The shareholders approved the company’s dividend pay out ratio at 60 percent of 2015 net profit amounting to Rp9.29 trillion.

Corporate Secretary Of TLKM Arief Wibowo told The Insider Stories the dividend will be distributed on May 26.

Telkom posted net profit of Rp15.49 trillion in 2015, increased 7 percent from Rp14.47 trillion in 2014. Revenues increased by 14.2 percent on an annualized basis to Rp102.47 trillion, while operating profit stood at Rp32.42 trillion (+11 percent) and EBITDA Rp51.42 trillion, up 12.6 percent compared to Rp 45.67 trillion in 2014.

The firm noted that its mobile arm PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) continued to strengthen its network quality with almost 18,000 new base transceiver stations (BTS) installed during the year. Around 90 percent of new BTS were 3G/4G-enabled to enhance the ‘mobile broadband experience,’ it said.

Telkom, which is 52.6 percent-owned by the government, closed out the 2015 with a total of 152.64 million mobile users (up 8.6 percent y-o-y), of which 149.131 million were pre-paid (+8.3 percent).

Telkomsel’s revenues grew to Rp76.06 trillion, with the growth engine being its Digital Business, which increased sales by 43.5 percent y-o-y, driven by data surged by 43.9 percent y-o-y and digital services which grew by 39.2 percent.
