JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - PT Krakatau Semen Indonesia, a joint venture (JV) company owned by state owned steel producer PT Krakatau Steel Tbk (IDX: KRAS) and PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (IDX: SMGR), has awarded a contract to Germany’s Loesche GmbH to provide slag grinding mill for its Cigading grinding plant in Cilegon, Banten province.
Krakatau Semen Indonesia is building its first plant of this type, with a planned production of 750 000 tpy. The scope of supply for this contract also includes the raw material transport system, the mill dust extraction system, the reject system and the silo equipment.
Automation of the plant is supplied by Loesche Automatisierungstechnik GmbH. A service contract was concluded with Loesche Indonesia Pvt. Ltd., located in Jakarta, that includes personnel services. The Loesche mill will be put into operation as early as first quaret of 2017.
Krakatau Steel and Semen Indonesia signed an agreement formed the JV in 2013 engaged in the production of Slag Powder, which will process granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS) into Ground granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) with a total investment of Rp 440 billion.
Furthermore, Irvan explained, during the construction period of the plant slag powder, a joint venture (JV Co slag powder) will be trading or sale to a third party (on the supply GBFS of PT Krakatau Posco namely: 350,000 tonnes/year).

Cement Mill Company has 22 units, 21 units packing plant. Currently, the Company also has a dedicated port 11 is in Padang, Tuban, Gresik, Biringkasi, Dumai, Ciwandan, Banyuwangi, Sorong and two ports in Vietnam.
