JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Cement producer PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa plans to build two new cement terminals as a move to support the company’s cement distribution across the country. Company President Director Christian Kartawijaya was quoted by Bisnis Indonesia as saying that one of the cement terminals will be built in Sumatera.
The company has set capital expenditure of Rp1.7 trillion for this year, portion of which will be used to develop the two terminals. Currently, the company operates seven cement terminals located in Tanjung Priok (Jakarta), Tanjung Perak (Surabaya), Sepanjang (Sidarjo(), Lembar (Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara), Palaran (Samarinda, East Kalimantan), Cigading (Banten province) and Pontianak (West Kalimantan).
In he first quarter, the company sold 4.07 million tons of cement, unchanged from the same quarter last year. In the quarter it booked sales of Rp3.37 trillion and net profit of Rp491.6 billion. (*)
