Darmawan Prasodjo speculated to become head of SKK Migas

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - Darmawan Prasodjo, energy economist and deputy head for monitoring and evaluation at the Presidential Staff Office, is speculated to become new head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business (SKK Migas), replacing Amien Sunaryadi, the Insider Stories sources said.

The replacement follows the appointment of new Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Arcandra Tahar.

Darmawan, known as Darmo, was appointed as People’s Representative Council (DPR) late last year, replacing Puan Maharani who was appointed as a cabinet minister under President Joko Widodo.

Darmawan, age 45, earned his PhD degree from Texaas A&M University, the same university with current energy minister Arcandra Tahar. In November 2014, he became a member of Oil and Gas GovernanceReformed Team, headed by Faisal Basri.

Darmawan Prasodjo was born in Magelang, Central Java. His late father was Brigadier General TNI (ret) Sadja Moeljoredjo and mother Sudarti Sadja. His father was former head of Taruna Nusantara High School in Magelang. (*)
