JAKARTA (TheInsderStories) - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) shareholders on Wednesday (March 23) approved a plan to distribute dividend of Rp7.62 trillion, representing 30 percent of the company’s 2015 net profit of Rp25.2 trillion.
The dividend equals to Rp311.66 per share, the bank’s President Director Asmawi Syam said
He said the bank also plans to issue bonds worth Rp4.35 trillion this year. The bond issuance was part of the total planned bond issuance of Rp12 trillion to be issued by the bank in the period of 2015-2017.
As for credit growth, the bank expects credit expansion to grow by 15 percent this year, after recording a growth of 14.7 percent in February.
In addition, the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) also approved the transfer of treasury stocks for the Management and Employee Stock Option program.
Asmawi also said that the company has bought back stocks of 221,718,000 in the period of Oct. 12, 2015 until Jan. 12, 2016.
New Board members
The Annual Shareholders Meeting (AGM) also approved the appointment of Priyastomo two new directors, namely Priyastomo, previously BRI branch head for Bandung and Sis Apik Wijayanto, previously director for retail, funding and distribution at PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. The two replaces Gatot Mardiwasisto and Toni Soetirto.
One new commissioner member was appointed, namely Mahmud.
