JAKARTA - Indonesia’s state owned telecommunication operator PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (IDX: TLKM) is selling 425 million treasury stocks at Rp3,820 each to raise Rp1.62 trillion (US$123.19 million). Currently, the largest operator in the country pocketed 2.60 million shares or 2.58 percent of enlarged capital. The composition shareholders of Telkom as follows: the government 52.55 percent and public 47.45 percent.
Telkom posted revenues of Rp27.54 trillion in first quarter (Q1) of 2016, increased 16.6 percent compared to Q1 2015 Rp23.62 trillion. Net profit increased by 20.3 percent on an annualized basis to Rp4.59 trillion, while operating profit stood at Rp 9.57 trillion (+28.5 percent) and EBITDA Rp14.66 trillion, up 18.8 percent compared to Rp 12.34 trillion. Total cellular subscribers reached 153.61 million users. (*)
