PLN, BP sign gas sales and purchase contract

JAKARTA - State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) and BP Berau have signed an amendment of a gas sale and purchase contract for gas from the Tangguh Refinery in West Papua. Gas supplies from BP to PLN will be increased gradually since the first distribution until 2033.
In 2016, the first distribution will carry 12 cargos of gas to PLN. From 2017 to 2019, the volume will be increased to 20 cargos per year. Between 2020 and 2033, the gas distribution will be increased to 44 cargos per year. The first cargo unloading is expected to take place onApril 17, 2016. The contract was an amendment of a gas sale and purchase contract drafted on October 17, 2015, aimed at securing gas supplies in a long run.
