JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (IDX:WSBP), a subsidiary of state-owned construction firm PT Waskita Karya (Persero)Tbk (IDX:WIKA), has set a target to book net profit of Rp 1.1 trillion this year, up t0 73% from Rp 634.82 billion in 2016.
Chief Executive Officer of Beton Precast, Djarot Subana said, the company has secured new contracts to develop a number of projects worth Rp 3.3 trillion in mid March this year. He expects the company’s new contract to reach Rp4.2 trillion in the first quarter.
The company also plans to expand by developing two new plants, to be located in Penajam, East Kalimantan and Medan, North Sumatera, worth Rp 1.9 trillion. Therefore, WSBP will have 3.25 million tonnes of precast capacity production this year.
Moreover, Waskita Beton has received an approval from shareholders to allocate Rp 317 billion or Rp 12 per share for last year’s dividend. (CS)
