The Insider Stories Morning Notes – JCI expected to be mixed on commodity prices fluctuation

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Indonesian shares are expected to be mixed today with gains in selected big caps likely to be offset by sell-off in resources stocks on fluctuation of global commodity prices, analysts say.

On Monday, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) weakened by 0.08 percent or down 4.48 points at 5,712.33 points, came off from early morning gains. The index hovered within 5,703.46-5,730.84 points.

As many as 146 stocks rose, 183 declined and 218 stocks were unchanged, with total transactions reaching Rp11.56 trillion.

Analyst Indosurya Sekuritas William Surya Wijaya expects the JCI to move within range of 5,672 – 5,797 points.

He still sees the JCI to have the potentiality to go up and trade above support level, supported by ongoing capital inflow. The fluctuation of global commodity is still overshadowing shares trading, he noted.
