JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - Indonesian shares are expected to move mixed today ahead of the weekend as investors are likely to be cautious to make aggressive moves. Some players, however, may opt to buy selected stocks on upbeat on financial performance for 2016 and 2017.
On Thursday, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed up slightly by 0.015 at 5,592.95 (+3,83% mtd; +5,59% ytd).
The JCI was in the green zone supported by buying interests in telecom, cigarette and miscellaneous industry stocks. Foreign investors were net buy of Rp56.9 billion.
As many as 159 stocks increased, 181 declined and 103 stocks were unchanged.
Bahana Sekuritas said the JCI is expected to be mixed today, moving within range of 5,575-5,620 points today. It said stocks to watch are including GGRM, SMRA, TELE, TINS, and VIVA.
In forex market, the rupiah was traded at Rp13,315 to the US dollar, rose 0.16% (-0.16% mtd; -1.17% ytd). (*)
