The Insider Stories Morning Notes - JCI to move range-bound today

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - Indonesian shares are expected to move range-bound today as market players are awaiting for fresh leads before reentering the market.

“The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) is expected to hover in tight range of 5,343-5,420 today,” said Lanjar Nafi, an analyst with PT Reliance Securities. Among stocks to watch are including Astra Agro Lestari (IDX:AALI), Kalbe Farma (IDX:KLBF), LSIP, Perusahaan Gas Negara (IDX:PGAS) and Semen Indonesia (IDX:SMGR).

Last Friday, the JCI closed up 13 points (0.24% at 5,385, after moving within 5,370-5,391. As many as 150 stocks increased, 154 declined, 113 were unchanged and 159 were untraded.

The total transaction reached Rp6.51 trillion. Six out of ten industry indices rose, led by miscellaneous industry index (up 1.04%) and primary industry index (up 0.93%).

In Asia, most major stock markets fell, with Nikkei225 edged down 0.45%, Kospi lost 0.64%, and Hang Seng in Hong Kong fell 0.62%.
