- FM Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the government remains vigilant to manage cash as the country’s debt ratio increases. Outstanding government debt last year was recorded at Rp3.466,9 trillion, equivalent to US$258.04 billion. By position the ratio of debt to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2016 reached 27.5%.
- A total of 62% of funds under management of Employment Social Security Agency (BPJSTK) will be placed in debt securities. In addition to bonds, 18% of the funds are allocated to stocks, 12% in deposits, 7% in mutual funds, and the rest in direct investment.
- PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA) plans to launch direct flights from Jakarta to Moscow in August 2017, utilizing Airbus A330-200. Garuda plans to fly 3 times a week. A MoU has been signed by Mikhail Kuritsyn, the representative of Indonesia Business Council of Russia and the CEO & President of Garuda Indonesia M. Arif Wibowo in Jakarta, witnessed by Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Mikhail Yurievich Galuzyn and Indonesian Ambassador to Russia Wahid Supriyadi. In accordance with the potential increase in tourist traffic between the two countries, the direct flight services to Moscow is expected to improve Russian tourist visits up to 100,000 tourists in 2017. Russian tourist arrivals to Indonesia in the first half of 2016 increased by 14%. In contrast, the number of Indonesian citizens visiting Russia is also quite large, reaching about 14,000 people in 2015. Arif added, the plan to open the Jakarta - Moscow service in the mid-2017 marks a series of Garuda Indonesia international flight network expansion in 2017. In addition to Moscow, in the middle of this year, Garuda Indonesia will also launch Jakarta - Los Angeles via Tokyo.
- PT Pendanaan Efek Indonesia (PEI) is currently questioning five brokerage firms that borrow shares and then sold them. - Starting Friday, people residing in the areas of Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Bodetabek) may enjoy an integrated transportation facilities, following the operation of a special transportation mode. Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Transportation, recently inaugurated a special transportation means for Jabodetabek people, called Residence Connexion (JR Connexion).
- PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG, Rp5.275, NEUTRAL, TP of Rp6,000) prepares an expenditure of Rp2 trillion. The telecommunications industry which is projected to grow twofold has spurred TBIG to grow more aggressively. This year, the tower operator prepares capital expenditures amounting to Rp1 trillion to Rp2 trillion to build infrastructure such as telecommunication towers and add 2,000-3,000 tenants.
- PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF, Rp7.975, BUY, TP Rp11.050) through Ocecan 21 Holdings Pte. Ltd. founded a company called Ocean Success Pte. Ltd. The subsidiary engages in areas of shipping business with paid up capital of USD100,000.
- West Java Provincial Government is ready to provide direct support to development speed train from Jakarta to Bandung, including changing local regulations. The construction of the high speed train linking Jakarta and Bandung is carried out by a consortium, firm PT Kereta Cepat
Indonesia-China (KCIC). KCIC is a joint venture formed by Indonesian SOEs and Chinese SOEs. - Based on information disclosure published on Tuesday, PT Sarana Multigriya Financial (SMF) offers and issued bonds worth Rp1.67 trillion which is part of the Bond III Sarana Multigriya Finansial with total amount of Rp 6 trillion.
