Semen Indonesia gets Rp3.96t loan facility from Bank Mandiri

JAKARTA - Indonesia cement producer PT Semen Gresik, unit of state owned PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (IDX: SMGR) has obtained loan facility worth Rp 3.96 trillion (US$298.97 million) from PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (IDX: BMRI). The funds will be used to build new cement factory in Rembang, Central Java. In addition, currently the company is in process to build Indarung VI mill which is owned by PT Semen Padang with total capacity of 6 million tonnes per annum.

Semen Indonesia together with its unit Semen Padang, Semen Gresik, PT Semen Tonasa, dan Thang Long Cement Vietnam have a total capacity of 31.8 million tonnes of cement per annum with total market share of 41 percent in national cement industry. SMGR operates 22 unit cement mills, 26 unit packing plants and 11 ports located in Belawan, Teluk Bayur, Tuban, Gresik, Biringkasi, Dumai, Ciwandan, Banyuwangi, Sorong, and two in Vietnam. (*)
