JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - A number of Quick Counts show that Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor candidates Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno win the Jakarta governor election.
Anies Baswedan is a former Minister for Education and Culture, while Sandiaga Uno is a businessman, who has shares in a number of companies.
The Anies-Sandi pair and their backed political parties have held press conference claiming that they are going to win the Jakarta governor election.
the incumbent governor Basuki T. Purnama, known as Ahok, and his deputy Djarot Saifullah as well their political backings have congratulate the would-be winner of the election, Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno.
The official results are pending on the final count of the Jakarta Election Committee (KPUD Jakarta).
The handover of power will be held in October this year. (*)
