SKK Migas Says Indonesia to See 13 Oil and Gas Projects to Start Production in 2014

Insider Stories - The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (SKK-Migas) predicts 13 oil and gas projects in Indonesia will start their production in 2014. Total capacity production of the 13 projects was 954 million metric standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) and 194,121 barrels of oil per day.

SKK-Migas Public Relations Head Elan Biantoro said the projects included Baciko 7B with Total E&P Indonesie as the contractor targeting to produce 170 mmscfd and 4,000 barrels per day. Sisi Nubi 2B whose contractor is Total E&P Indonesie with a production target of 350 mmscfd and the Lapangan Peluang project with Santos as the contractor with a production target of 25 mmscfd.

Others are POFD Bekapai Phase 2A operated by Total E&P) Indonesie with a production capacity of 1,021 barrels per day, Gundih with Pertamina EP as the operator with a production target of 50 mmscfd and 600 barrels of oil per day and Bayan with contractor Manhattan Kalimantan Investment with production capacity of 15 mmscfd and 250 barrels per day.

In the second quarter of 2014, two projects are expected to commence their production are Paciko 7C with Total as its contractor with capacity 125 mmscfd and 1,500 barrels per day and Ridho with contractor Odira Energy Karang Agung. One project is expected to start their production in the third quarter is Senoro by Partamina Joint Operation Board (JOB) with a production capacity of 8 mmscfd.

The remaining four projects are expected to be in production in the fourth quarter of 2014 are Banyu Urip with Mobil Cepu Ltd as operator and with a production capacity of 165,000 barrels per day, Kepodang with Petronas Carigali Muriah Ltd as its contractor and with a production of 116 MMSCFD.

Others Bukit Tua with contractor Petronas Carigali and Ketapang 2 with a production capacity of 70 mmscfd and 20,000 barrels per day and 20,000 barrels per day, and Kerendan of Slamander Energy-Bangkanai, capacity is 300 barrels perday.
