(Insider Stories) - Indonesia and China inked investment deals worth US$28.2 billion in mineral, transportation, electricity, pulp & paper, airlines, palm oil, infrastructure and telecommunication. The 21 joint agreement was signed by Indonesia and China's companies in front of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indonesia Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at Indonesia - China Business Luncheon, Thursday.    

 

Mr Yudhoyono invite Chinese businessmen to invest more especially in infrastructure projects and renewable energy development in Indonesia. He said, Indonesia investment in energy sectors will need US$270 billion due to higher demand by 2030.  

 

In trade, Mr Yudhoyono expect the trade value between the two countries will soar to US$80 billion before 2015. Last year trade between China and Indonesia US$66.2 billion. Mr Xi added, China would strive to ensure the trade volume with ASEAN countries reaches US1 trillion by 2020.

Loan agreement between PT OKI Pulp & Paper Mills and China Development Bank Corporation for the pulp mill in Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra US$1.8 billion 

 

Framework Agreement between on Cooperation in Energy Sector of PT DSSP Power Sumsel, units of Sinar Mas Group with Chinan Development Bank (subject to final confirmation) to support development of energy projects in Indonesia US$400 million

 

Principal Agreement on Mining and Transportation Infrastructure Projects between PT Indika Energy Tbk and China Railway Group Ltd and Export-Import Bank of China to develop resources and infrastructure in Papua and Kalimantan Tengah US$6 billion

 

Five B777-300ER aircraft sale and lease back agreement and six A320-200 aircraft  lease back antara PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk  dengan  ICBC Financial Leasing Company Ltd US$1.7 billion

 

Investment and Financing agreement 300,000 ton per annum FeNi Plant and Related Infrastructure Project between PT Sulawesi Mining Investment through PT Bintang Delapan Investama with China Development Bank, Shanghai Decent Investment and China-ASEAN Investment Cooperation Fund US$5.1 billion

 

JV Investment Agreement between PT Sulawesi Mining Investment dgn Shanghai Decent Investment (Group) Co Ltd US$100 million
