Indomobil will launch four LCGC type cars in 2014

(Insider Stories) - Indonesia automotive producers, PT Indomobil Sukses Makmur (IMAS.JK) plans to launch four low cost green car energey (LCGC) type through Nissan and Suzuki units. One of the merk will launch is Datsun.

Indomobil's Chairman Subronto Laras said, their principal Suzuki Corp prepare investment up to US$1 billion to expand the capacity production including  develop new LCGC and automotive component plants.

The new plant in Cakung and Tambun, Bekasi plans will starting commercially production in first quarter of 2014. The new plant will have capacity 150,000 units per year. Totally by 2014 Indomobil will have capacity ptoduction 250,000 units per year from 100,000 units in 2013.

Indomobil also in talks with their partners to build joint venture company in automotive component business to compaly the government rules. According to LCGC's rules all producers must put 80% local components in their products.

Indomobil also explore to increase their heavy equipment capacity as one part of their business expansion in the logistic tranportation areas. Their primary focus sell the product to their sister company in mining units under Salim Group.
