(Insider Stories) - Indonesia Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) and PT Astra International (ASII.JK) still optimistic the car and motorcycle's sales will grow higher despite  on Central Banks policy to hike the benchmark rate and FASBI.

Gaikindo's Chairman Sudirman and PT Toyota Astra Motor Jhonny Dharmawan still optimistic the car sales will reach 1.1 - 1.2 million units or rises 9.09% from last year 1.1 million units. In first half 2013, total national car sales 601,000 units and in June only 104,000 units, Sudirman said. Astra, Dharmawan said expect to grab market shares 51-52% from national market,

Talk about low cost and green car (LCGC), Sudirman said producent estimate will sell 20,000 - 30,000 units until end of 2013. Six producent has propose to produce LCGC like PT Toyota Astra Motor, PT Astra Daihatsu Mobil, Nissan, Suzuki, Honda and Mitsubishi.

Meanwhile, Astra International's Director Johannes Lohman said motorcycles sales will reach 7.2-7.3 million units from previous year 7 million units. In first half 2013 total motorcycle sales  3.9 million units. In the next three to five years he predict the motorcycle sales will reach 10 million units.
