JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Happy New Year! This noon, Statistic Indonesia will announce the annual inflation of the country. Last year, the largest economy in Southeast Asia posted the yearly inflation at 3.13 percent.
On monthly basis, in November, Indonesian inflation stood at 0.14 percent, went up from 0.02 percent in the prior month. Last month, the annual inflation rate decreased to 3.0 percent from 3.13 percent in the previous month, as the price of most of the expenditure group index increased.
Extreme rain has flushed the Greater Jakarta area on New Year’ Eve caused flooding and damage the building and other facilities. Based on the National Agency for Disaster data there were 16 people died and 20,000 homeless caused of the flooding.

From Australia, Seven people have died in the past 24 hours in the Australian state of New South Wales as blazing wildfires continue to tear through bushland and towns. Foreign media reported three people had been found dead due to fires along the south coast, adding to four deaths that had been reported on Tuesday.
Last Monday, Indonesian Rupiah closed up 0.2 percent to 13,924 a US Dollar and the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) dropped 0.05 percent to 6,229.54 compared to prior day. Some analysts rated the optimism come from the potential signing of the trade deal by the United States (US) and China.
Today they estimating the local curreny moves in the range 13,900 – 14,00 and the stock index between 6,265 – 6,307. The stock to be watch are PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbl (IDX: INDF), PT Indotambang Megahraya Tbk (IDX: ITMG), PT Bukit Asam Tbk (IDX: PTBA), PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (IDX: INCO), PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (IDX: MNCN), PT Mitra Adi Perkasa Tbk (IDX: MAPI), and PT Eka Surya Perkasa Tbk (IDX: ESSA).
