JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - Minister of State Own Enterprises (SOEs) Rini Soemarno has reshuffled board of directors of state own fertilizer producer PT Pupuk Indonesia. Aas Asikin Idat has been appointed as a new president director, replacing Arifin Tasrif.
The minister also appoints new directors, namely Gusrizal, M. Johan Safri and Indarto Pamoengkas.
Aas Asikin Idat was previously served as President Director of PT Pupuk Kaltim, a subsidiary of Pupuk Indonesia, and also served as Director of PT Pupuk Kujang. According to Aas, Pupuk Indonesia is ready to fully support the government’s food security program.
“Our primary existence is to support food security through the assurance of supply of fertilizer. We will improve the distribution of fertilizer, particularly for subsidized fertilizer, by optimizing the existing distribution system”, Aas said.
In addition, the company will also continue to improve the company’s operational efficiency.
Aas added that in order to face an increasingly tight business competition, Pupuk Indonesia will continue to carry out developments and investments, among others, by the development of products that are still the product downstream of the core business of the company.
