The Insider Morning Notes - JCI expected to move little changed ahead of weekend

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - Indonesian shares are expected to move little changed today as players are awaiting for fresh leads, with the central bank’s (BI) decision yesterday to keep BI rate unchanged at 6.75 percent failed to lift market sentiment.

The declines of Wall Street stocks overnight may weigh on market sentiment today. Overnight, DJIA fell 0.05 percent, S&P500 lost 0.37 percent and Nasdaq declined by 0.56 percent.

On Thursday, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed down 30.14 points or down 0.64 percent at 4,704.21 while LQ-45 fell 0.97 percent to 801.93 points. The rupiah weakened to Rp13,565 to the US dollar.

Stocks to watch are including, Gudang Garam (GGRM), Pakuwon Jati (PWON), Astra Agro (AALI) and HM Sampoerna (HMSP.

Analysts say, the JCI is expected to trade within support level of 4,681 and resistance level of 4,743 points today. (*)
