Kresna Graha unit integrates Mandiri e-cash into Grab

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - PT Digital Artha Media (DAM), a subsidiary of PT Kresna Graha Investama Tbk (IDX: KREN), announced the integration of Mandiri e-cash into Grab, the ride-sharing application. This strategic partnership has the full support of Bank Mandiri, Indonesia’s largest bank by assets, as well as a shareholder of DAM.

“We feel honored and very excited to begin this long-term partnership with Bank Mandiri and DAM” Ridzki Kramadibrata, the Managing Director of Grab Indonesia said in a press statement.

Mandiri e-cash will become a cashless payment alternative for Grab passengers without access to credit cards, and allow driver partners to manage the balance of their Grab account in a more convenient way. With Mandiri e-cash acting as an “integrated digital wallet”, drivers can top up and transfer their Grab credit directly on Grab Driver application, from and into their e-cash balance.

Drivers can also enjoy the luxury of withdrawing cash from one of Bank Mandiri’s 17,000 ATMs or more than 25,000 Indomaret, Alfamart and Alfamidi outlets across the country – without card, only using mobile number acting as their e-cash account.

“Mandiri e-cash will be integrated into the Grab application and launched in stages starting Thursday, for both passengers and drivers,” Indra Suryawan, the CEO of DAM explained.

DAM, as a technology provider and developer of Mandiri e-cash, will also provide reconciliation and other end-to-end solutions, problems that Grab often encountered in the past. This cooperation is part of our initiative to materialize our dream as a leading payment infrastructure player in the region.”

Managing Director of KREN, Suryandy Jahja adding that this partnership model is one of Kresna’s pillar strategy to grow Mandiri e-cash’s user base.
