JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Fourteen political parties that passed the factual verification have received the serial number of 2019 election participants on Sunday (18/02). The draw was held at the office of the General Election Commission.
The following is the result of the draw of the serial number of political parties are PKB Party (1), Gerindra Party (2), PDIP Party (3), Golkar Party (4), Nasdem Party (5), Garuda Party (6), Berkarya Party (7), PKS Party (8), Perindo Party (9), PPP Party (10), PSI Party (11), PAN Party (12), Hanura Party (13) and Democrat Party (14).
Among the 14 parties, four of them are newcomers into the political arena. namely Perindo, Berkarya, Garuda and PSI Party. Garuda Party declared on April 16, 2015 and Perindo Party belonging to MNC Group boss Hary Tanoesoedibjo.
While, Berkarya party established in 2016 was initiated by the son of the first president of Indonesia Soeharo, Hutomo Mandala Putra. Otherwise, PSI offers a new style of politics and more targeting for young people and women.
General election will be held in Indonesia on April, 17, 2019. For the first time, the President and members of People’s Consultative Assembly will be elected on the same day.
The campaign period is tentatively scheduled to take place from Oct. 18, 2018 to April, 13, 2019. Determination of political parties eligible to participate in the election is due to be announced on 1 March 2018.
Submission of candidates for the House of Representatives, Regional Representatives Council and regional legislative assemblies will be in May 2018. Submission of candidates for president and vice president will be in August, 2018 and the official candidates will determined by Sept, 2018.
After the elections, inauguration of Regency/City legislators and regional parliament will take place from August to Sept., 2019. Inauguration of the president and vice president is scheduled for Oct. 20, 2019.
