Indonesia to develop 3 more toll road sections this year

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - Public Works and People’s Housing Ministry (PUPR) has signed an agreement with Toll Road Agency to develop three more new toll road sections this year, with total investment of Rp27 trillion.

The three toll road sections are namely, first, Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) along 60 km with estimated investment of Rp8.21 trillion; second, Serang-Panimbang with a length of 84 km with total investment of Rp5.4 trillion and Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi with length of 143 km worth Rp13.4 trillion.

To support the projects, the Finance Ministry and PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII) have signed guarantee agreement for the four toll road sections, namely Cisumdawu, Serang—Panimbang, Jakarta—Cikampek II Elevated and Krian—Legundi Bunder—Manyar, with combined guarantee agreement value of Rp37 trillion.

Minister for PUPR Basoeki Hadimoeljono said his office is ready to support the construction of the projects and ensure that the constructions process will go ahead smoothly. (*)
