JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Indonesian finance ministry absorbed funds of Rp20 trillion (US$1.42 billion) of the auction of seven series of government bonds from a total offer of Rp94.97 trillion, according to a government statement on Tuesday (01/21). The auction was close to the maximum target set at Rp22.5 trillion.

For the SPN03200422 series, the nominal amount won reached Rp1.5 trillion with a weighted average yield of 3.94 percent, according to the press release of the directorate general of financing and risk management. The offer for bonds that will mature on April 22, reaches Rp21.99 trillion. The lowest yields for the series of bonds that have a discount coupon rate reached 4.15 percent and the highest yields entered were 4.56 percent, it said.

Then, for the FR0081 series, the nominal amount won reached Rp5.55 trillion with a weighted average yield of 6.03855 percent. The offer for bonds maturing on June 15, 2025, reached Rp16.64 trillion. While the lowest yields entered into the series of bonds that have a coupon rate of 6.5 percent reached 6.00 percent and the highest yields entered were 6.16 percent.

Furthermore, for the FR0082 series, the nominal amount won reached Rp4.2 trillion with a weighted average yield of 6.78497 percent. The offer for bonds maturing on September 15, 2030, reached Rp 17.22 trillion. The lowest yields entered into the series of bonds that have a coupon rate of 7.0 percent reached 6.77 percent and the highest yields entered were 6.88 percent.

For the FR0080 series, the nominal amount won reached Rp2.2 trillion with a weighted average yield of 7.30625 percent. The offer for bonds that will mature on June 15, 2035, has reached Rp5.4 trillion. The lowest yields entered into the series of bonds that have a 7.5 percent coupon rate reached 7.25 percent and the highest yields that came in at 7.5 percent.

While, for the FR0083 series, the nominal amount won reached Rp2.25 trillion with a weighted average yield of 7.38714 percent. The offer for bonds that will mature on April 15, 2040, will reach Rp6.91 trillion. The lowest yields entered into the series of bonds that have a 7.5 percent coupon rate reached 7.38 percent and the highest yields that came in at 7.48 percent.

Then, for the FR0076 series, the nominal amount won reached Rp 2.8 trillion with a weighted average yield of 7,58645 percent. The offer for bonds that will mature on May 15, 2048, has reached Rp5.3 trillion. The lowest yields entered into the series of bonds that have a coupon rate of 7.375 percent reached 7.55 percent and the highest yields that came in at 7.85 percent.

This year the finance ministry is targeting net issuance of government bonds worth Rp389.32 trillion. In the first quarter of 2020, the government targeted the issuance of the bonds worth Rp165.50 trillion from seven government bonds and six state sukuk auctions. In the first auction of this year in January, the government scooped up funds of Rp20 trillion from total incoming bids of Rp81.54 trillion.
