Former Pelindo II director Orias named as president director of Pelindo III

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) - Minister for State Owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno has appointed Orias Petrus Moedak as President Director of Pelindo III, effective from May 16, 2016.

Orias was previously finance director of Pelindo II, also known as Indonesia Port Corporation (IPC), the operator of Tanjung Priok port. He replaces Djarwo Surjanto.

Orias has become Finance Director at Pelabuhan Indonesia II since December 2013. Previously, he served as Managing Director of PT Danareksa Sekuritas. Orias started his carrier from 1991 to 1994 as a Senior Auditor for Ernst and Young International of Santoso Harsokusumo Public Accountant in Jakarta. In 1994, he worked for PT Bahana Securities until 2001. In 2010, he moved to Singapore and served as Managing Director of Investment Banking, Head of Indonesia Coverage at Daiwa Capital Markets Singapore Ltd until 2014.

Other positions he held before were including director in PT Bahana Artha Ventura, commissioner in a number of venture capital companies in Jakarta, Makassar, Bandung, and Medan and President Commissioner in PT Mitra Ventura Indonesia (2001-2003), President Director and Director of PT Reliance Securities Tbk from 2008 to 2010.

Orias graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the Economic Faculty, Universitas Padjajaran in 1990.
