BKPM processes Rp17.11 trillion investment through “3-Hour Investment Permit” scheme

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Indonesia’s National Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) reveals that four domestic companies have utilized the newly establish service called “3-Hours Investment Permit” scheme with total investment of Rp17 trillion.

The investment board said it will continue to improve the investment service in order to ease bureaucratic procedures that often hamper investors to make an investment.

“The 3-hour investment permit service hopefully will bring positive impact to investors, who previously use third parties to process their investment permit,” BKPM said in a statement.

As a result, the costs are often. With the new investment service, investors can come to BKPM office and seek permit directly in a very short time.

BKPM Chairman Franky Sibarani said the new permit service scheme has facilitated four companies in seeking investment permit from the government with the above mentioned value.

Under the scheme, investors are only required to submit the required documents. Assuming that the required documents are all met, permit can be approved within three hours.

In addition, deputy head for investment service lestari Indah said in addition to the four companies, 15 companies/individuals have come to the service unit to consult with the permit process.

The main documents required before the investment permits are processed, the investor or company is required to submit personal data and relevant documents. They then can get three basic investment permits, namely investment permit, article of association in establishing a company and approval from the Ministry for Justice and Human rights and tax identification number (NPWP).

Then the investor will get company registration number (Tanda Daftar Perusahaan/TDP), permit to employ foreign workers (IMTA), the plan to employ foreign workers (RPTKA) and identity for importing goods (API-P) as well as customs identity number (NIK). (*)
