BI hold the benchmark rate at 4.75%

Board of Bank Indonesia (BI) governors decided to hold 7 Days Reverse Repo Rate (BI 7 Days Repo Rate) at 4.75 percent, said Executive Director of the Department of Communications Tirta Segara. BI also kept the depocit facility rate remained at 4 percent and lending facilit rate at 5.50 percent. The easing of monetary policy will be effective from Dec. 16. According to him, the relaxation of monetary policy can continue to encourage domestic economic growth and future BI be aware on economic and global risk uncertainty.
