Indonesia’s Energy & Resources Mineral ministry allows PT Newmon Nusa Tenggara (NNT), the local unit of U.S copper and gold miner Newmont Mining Corp with a recommendation to continue copper concentrate exports around 400,000 tonnes of copper concentrate for the next six months. Coal and minerals director general Bambang Gatot told reporters, without providing further details. NNT is targeting production of approximately 700 000 tonnes of copper concentrate this year. Beside Newmon Mining COrp, NNT’s shareholders include Japan’s Sumitomo Corp and Indonesia’s PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk.
